Position
The BBVFC is hiring part-time NREMT-B’s to establish a part-time list to fill open shifts as needed. Candidates may not be members of the BBVFC. Position Description The career FF/EMTs provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and firefighting services and perform other station duties as assigned for the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company. Part-time personnel will work 12 or 24 hour shifts as needed. All shifts begin at 0700 hours. Overtime is paid for all hours over 40 in a week.

Minimum qualifications

• Current National Registry and DE EMT-B certification.
• The following list of fire & rescue training:
  • Basic and Structural Firefighting
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Vehicle Rescue
• Current AED and CPR certifications
• Valid driver's license and emergency vehicle operator certification
• Satisfactory completion of background check, medical exam, drug test, air pack proficiency test.

Compensation

• $11-12 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
• Uniforms
