BBVFC Responce to the Christmas Blizzard 2010 - Headquarters

Around noon on Christmas day 2010, the officers of the fire department were notified that the expected storm had changed tracks. With the impending bad storm, the alert went out for members to man the station, and to work to keep the station open for emergency responce. From the morning of 12/26/10 until the evening of 12/27/10, members and employees manned the station and worked to keep the ramps pasable by emergency equipment. A recently installed plow on our traffic control unit proved invaluable to us. With the long winter ahead this may just be the start of more to come.
