Electrical Fire at 105 Costal Highway - Fenwick Island

At 2024 hours on Sunday 7/10/11, Station 70 was alerted to a reported electrical fire at Ocean Side Pizzeria 105 Costal Highway in Fenwick Island. 70-8 with Assistant Chief Todd Hickman arrived and established command as the building was evacuated. Investigation revealed a small electrical fire contained to the area of the meter base on side C of the structure. Delmarva Power arrived and cut power to the structure and the scene was turned over to them at 2229 with all BBVFC units going in service. An engine from station 84 was moved to station 70 headquarters to stand by during the incident.
