Bethany Fire Units Respond to the 400 Block of Beachwood Lane

Around 1800hrs Bethany Fire Units responded to the 400 block of Beachwood Lane for and automatic alarm. Units arrived to find a unoccupied 2 story single family. As crews made entry they were confronted with a smoke condition. Crews quickly established a water source and stretched an attack line to the front door. After further investigation crews found a small fire in a hot water heater in a closet. The can man from tower 70 was able to control the fire with his water can and the scene was placed under control. Units remained on scene for a short time for smoke removal.
