Millville Fills The Box on a House Struck By Lightning - Quillens Point - Cedar Neck Road

Bethany Beach firefighters responded to assist Millville Volunteer Fire Company after Chief Scott requested that Sussex fill the box on a reported structure fire. Millville's initial crews found a working fire in the attic of the home that had been struck by lightning. An aggressive attack by their first crew held the fire in the attic area. Bethany Beach firefighters opened the roof for the interior crews and assisted with extensive overhaul. Crews operated on scene for about two hours.
