Vehicle Fire on the Beach - Delaware Seashore State Park South Bethany

Late morning of Saturday 5/30/15, Bethany Beach VFC was dispatched to the drive on beach of the Delaware Seashore State Park south of South Bethany for a reported vehicle fire. Asst. Chief Tom Moore responded with 70-8 and arrived to find an SUV well involved near the drive on entrance. An additional brush unit was requested from Millville VFC. Brush 70 and Utility 70-11 responded and attacked the fire. C-70 and Quint 70-4 established a fill site on Coastal Highway and Brush 84 shuttled water to the scene. The fire was brought quickly under control and the scene was turned over to DENREC for investigation.
