VACATIONERS TEMPOARILY DISPLACED - Unit block S. 1st. Street, South Bethany Beach, DE

On Tuesday morning, 18 August 2015, Bethany Beach Fire Company received a call for a “CO Alarm” sounding at a rental home in the unit block of South 1st St. in South Bethany Beach. The 9-bedroom home was evacuated for precautionary reasons. CO Meter detected low-levels, subsequent to employing positive pressure to remove the CO, the levels decreased, thus permitting the tenants to reclaim access to the beach home. The Huizinga Family from upstate New York were then reunited to their beach home to continue vacationing at Bethany Beach. This incident incurred 5 pieces of equipment totaling 10 personnel.
