1 P.M. Briefing - BBVFC Headquarters

Chief Brian Martin from your Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company held a 1 p.m. briefing today at Fire Headquarters. Chief Martin stated that no news is good news. The flood waters are beginning to recede, however, motorists and pedestrians should still remain vigilant in their travels. Never drive or walk in any standing water in the roadway!! Personnel is still fully-staffed for any storm related alarms. By tomorrow the station will be return to standard operating procedures, unless conditions warrant otherwise. Chief Martin further added, “Thankfully the hurricane isn't going to be a major issue other than high surf and rip currents. All considered, I think we faired pretty well through this weather event”.
