House Fire South Bethany - 117 Anchorage Dr.

On January 27, 2007 at 1533hrs the Bethany Beach, Millville and Rehoboth Beach Fire Companies were dispatched to a house fire at 117 Anchorage Drive, South Bethany. Units were on the street within minutes of dispatch. Duty officer Lieutenant T. Hickman arrived advising fire showing in the front of the structure. The crew from Quint 704 arrived and dropped the 5" line at the hydrant at Coastal Highway and Anchorage Drive. Chief 70 along with Deputy 70 stretched the first line into the building through a front door extinguishing the fire. Engine 846 arrived just after Quint 704 with their crew assigned to pull a second attack line and extinguish the remaining fire on the outside of the structure. Units contained the fire to the living room. Additional crews arrived preforming salvage and overhaul functions. Units remained on scene until 1730hrs before returning to quarters. The Bethany Beach Fire Department would like to thank the Millville and Rehoboth Fire Departments for their quick response and assistance. 70-23 had command Units Responded 70-8, Q-70, 70-1, 70-3, T-70, TC-70, 84-6, 84-8, 84-1, 84-4, R- 84, C-84, EMS 100, 86-2, 86-5, 86-7 and FM-10.
