During the afternoon on July 2nd, The Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Co. along with Millville, Sussex County and Ocean City EMS, were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident along Coastal Highway in Fenwick. The South End Engine, 70-3, was first on scene and Asst Chief Luke Powell  reported a multiple vehicle collision. Subjects involved in the accident had minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals for evaluation. Fire units assisted with roadway clean up and hazard control prior to going in service. Fire Police kept the roadway shut down while towing crews removed the vehicles. Fire Chief Tom Moore had the command.
