The count started with wires down in Bethany Beach at 2305 Sunday and reached 19 with a stranded vehicle in Bethany Beach at 2000 Monday. In between, there was an electrical fire, two CO detector activations, four wires down and two automatic fire alarms in north Bethany, a residential power surge and wires down in South Bethany, four more wires down in Bethany Beach, an EMS call in Fenwick Island and evacuation support in Kent County. Fortunately, there were no injuries and only minor property damage. For that we are grateful.
