Assist Sta 84 with a Structure Fire - 47 Woodland Ave, Millville

On 11-4-2008 at 1637hrs the Bethany Beach Vol. Fire Company was alerted to assist station 84 (Millville) on a reported structure fire on Woodland Ave. in Ocean View. DV708 and Q704 both went responding within one minute of dispatch. 7019 (Truitt) arrived on scene reporting nothing evident from the exterior. DV708, Q704 and E846 arrived with instructions investigate and ventilate the structure. Interior crews found a blanket that had fallen from a couch which landed on a baseboard heater creating the smoke condition. 84 command (Kauffman) placed scene under control holding units on scene.
