Assist Roxana Working Commercial Fire - Catch 54 Resturant Fenwick Island

At 8:35 PM the Roxana and Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Companies were dispatched to a building fire on Madison Ave at Catch 54 Restaurant. While enroute Roxana Engine 90-1 reported flames visible and requested a second alarm. 70-8, B-70, Quint 70 and Engine 70-3 responded on the first alarm, with Rescue 70 responding on the second alarm. Upon arrival engine 90-1 had heavy fire to the rear of the restaurant and thru the roof. Engine 90-1 place a hand line in service and started attacking the fire. Quint 70 upon arrival placed a second hand line in service and set up and protect exposures. 70-8 with Deputy Chief Moore took operations while Command 90 with Asst. Chief Guy Hudson took Command. Two 5 inch supply lines were laid to the scene which required Lighthouse Rd. (Rt.54) to be shut down for several hours. Units from Roxana, Bethany Beach and Ocean City brought the fire under control at 9:15 PM with extensive salvage and overhaul needed. Units from Millville and Rehoboth Beach covered Bethany stations during the incident.
