Multiple Alarm Beach House Fire - 31002 Heather Lane Bethany Dunes

At 0325 hours Stations 70,84,90,76 and Medic 105 where dispatched to a reported working structure fire. Multiple calls where received to the 911 center reporting the structure well involved. 70-8 with Chief Brian Martin arrived to find a 3 story beach house fully involved with exposures involved on the B and D sides and an exposure on the A side threatened. Three five inch supply lanes where laid supplying both Quints and Tower 70 as well as multiple hand lines. The fire was brought under control at 0600 with heavy equipment being brought in to assist in final extinguishment. Additional mutual aid was received from Rehoboth Beach, Dagsboro, Ocean City, Selbyville, Lewes, Indian River, and Millsboro. Multiple other departments provided coverage for units on the fire scene. Both this fire and one at the same residence at 2034 on 7/11/12 are under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshall.
