House Fire 3800 block of Bunting Ave Fenwick Island

Around 0245 this morning Bethany Beach, Roxana, Millville, and Ocean City fire companies were dispatched for a house fire on the 3800 block of Bunting Ave. in Fenwick. 70-8 with Deputy Chief Truitt responded and was given the report that a neighbor from three homes down could see flames from the home. Ocean city engine 4 first arriving, found a fire on the exterior delta side of the home. They quickly deployed a hand line and made a quick knock of the fire. 70-8 arrived with Deputy 70 assuming the command. Engine 4 advised they forced the door on the fire building and this was a split home three story adjoined home. Quint 70-5 with Chief Martin arrived, Chief Martin assumed the Operations officer while his crew assisted engine 4 and checked for extension. 90-8 with Chief Uibel arrived and was assigned accountability as second arriving Chief. Tower 70 assisted with opening up and ventilating the fire building as well as primary searches in both buildings, negative results and Tower 90 checked the B1 exposure with negative damages the unit. 84-6 arrived and took the hydrant for engine 4 manpower came to the staging area. 70-4 arrived with Asst. Chief Tyler Hickman and staged with Asst. Chief Hickman assigned staging officer. Also arriving Truck 84, OC Towers 3 and 1 with Chiefs 50 and 52. Scene was placed under control around 0400 hours and turned over to the Delaware State FMO. All units cleared the scene around 0430. Providing coverage will operating at this incident to our district was Dagsboro Eng 73-3 and Frankford Eng 76-1. Great job by all and we thank the mutual aides for all the assistance this morning.
