Sea Colony----Structure Fire - Sea Colony at the beach

On Thursday, 3 September 2015, your Bethany Beach Fire Company was alerted to respond to the Sea Colony Complex, Edgewater House, for a report of a structure fire. Seeing this structure is a high-rise building, our neighboring firefighters from Roxana, Millville, Frankford and Rehoboth Beach fire companies supported with both fire apparatus and personnel. Two Ambulances were also dispatched for precautionary purposes. A light odor of smoke was detected in a first floor men’s bathroom. Once it was established there was no fire, Sea Colony maintenance personnel will accomplish the necessary repairs to the air handler system. There were no reported injuries, or any guests misplaced due to this incident.
