Car Drives Into Canal - South Bethany

Just after midnight, The Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a water rescue in South Bethany. Units arrived to find an SUV submerged in one of the canals. The operator had gotten out and was being tended to by DSP. Units entered the water to check for additional victims. A diver on scene checked for additional victims and stabilized the vehicle. No one else was in the vehicle and units remained on scene 2 hours to assist the Tow Company remove the SUV.
