Fatal MVC with Fire - Coastal Highway South of Jefferson Bridge Rd

On 12-15-2008 at 0206hrs the Bethany Beach Fire Company was alerted to a reported vehicle accident on fire with subjects trapped. Bethany Beach fire units arrived to find a well involved vehicle fire with a single occupant. Extinguishment was delayed by primary power lines that had fallen onto the vehicle when it collided with a telephone pole. Units on scene: R706 – Q704 – E702 – Utility70 – EMS84 – SCEMS – TC70
