Duty Crew Night - Station 70 Headquarters

Saturday, January 22, 2011

On one of the coldest Saturday nights of the winter, the Bethany Beach Fire Company had a duty crew in station. A crew of firefighters, officers and EMS personnel manned the station starting at 1800 hours. They had dinner, checked equipment and conducted a short drill on scene size up and radio procedures. They spent the night at the station ensuring that first due emergency equipment would respond quickly from the headquarters station. Duty crews are being held several nights a month, and when inclement weather or community needs call for the station to be manned.
